Engagement tracking analyzes only public LinkedIn activity: public reactions and comments on your company page’s posts and public profile information. Slack team health is a separate feature, off by default. If you switch it on, it counts how many messages each person posts per week in the channels you select, which can include private channels the admin who connects it is already in. It never reads the text of any message and never reads or sends direct messages. Telling the people it counts is your job, not ours: it reads nothing until an admin confirms you have told your team, and only then is their history counted, up to the last 12 months.
